My 13,2 hh pony has BAD diarrhea that won’t go away?

My 13.2 hh, 6 year old pony has had REALLY BAD Diarrhea for about 6 weeks. She is reguraly wormed. She is fed Wheaten Hay in the morning and hand food at night. The diarrhea begun when I was unable to get loosen or wheaten hay all I could get was a bale of wheaten and bali mixed. As soon as she begun to get the diarrhea I took her off the hay and she is just having hand food but it still has not gone away. We can now get Wheaten hay and begun to give it to her but the diarrhea seems to be getting worse. She does not appear to be loosing weight – she looks and behaves very healthy. I’m getting quite worried and my next step is a vet.

I would go back to feeding nothing but free choice hay and pro-biotics, it replaces the natural (good flora) in the intestinal track. No grains, plenty of salt, plenty of good clean water. It shouldn’t take long before the bowels get more regulated, and I am guessing, they have a horrible odor as well, right?
