Advice on making a budget for Bali….?

I’m going to Bali in early April with a few friends. I’ve been looking online to try and find a good hotel and also to find things to do. It’s so hard to know which places are good – because I only know one person who’s been there. I want to stay in a nice, clean hotel, but not too expensive (of course – and I’d like to visit some cultural spots too. I’ve got four or five days to spend and want the best deal for my money. (US$)

I’ll be traveling with two other girls ,sharing a room. Any advice you have on a good hotel and travel costs would be appreciated!

I think $100-1500 is enough. I will spend less. Exclude shopping of course
Hotel room $60 not bad (I hope good enough for you). Seaview hotel/cottages publishrate 100+++, but it is low sesson, you can get better deal, up to 30-40% off. Meals per pack (not in fine dinning resto) about $3-6.
So many many nice places there, you have no enough time for visit it all. Better you start visit the famous places like Kuta beach, Ubud, Kintamani, Uluwatu, etc. You can find info in your hotel. Do not worry in Bali, you will meet some nice Baliness friends with nice hospitallities. I have some too, there.
