I’m traveling to tahiti next month and would like to know the best way to handle money.?
Some say to bring cash and exchange at your hotel. Some say to use your credit card, and I’ve heard its best to bring travelers checks. Please give me advice if you’ve been to Tahiti. Thank You!
I went to Japan for 45 days. I just came back 2 weeks. I used all cash. I exchanged my money at the local bank. hotels and airports have money exchange centers too, but banks will give you the best rate of the day whereas hotels and airports will use whatever the rate at the moment is. I did not bring a credit card or travelers checks. If you do use a credit card, tell your credit card company. Otherwise, the machine will eat your card thinking it was stolen. Travelers checks are a safe way to spend money. However, small shops will not accept travelers checks.
