Anyone have a recipe for the waffles served with ice cream?
I leave in just 10 days for Athens and island of Poros, and am bringing a waffle maker as a gift to one. The owner of the hotel had never made them and as we were enjoying a late night ice cream served over waffles I promised her I would bring her a waffle maker back this year.
I make waffles here at home in the states, but these were wonderful ones, with the ice cream on top. That was a first for me and now find from an email from her, teasing me to get ready to cook on the hotel roof garden..lol.
Suggestions will be appreciated.
I am not sure how the waffles with ice cream was served to you. Was it made into a cone, or were they big rounded or squared waffles with ice cream lumped on top, glazed over with syrup and sprinkled with nuts? (♥_♥) mmmMMM!
