why are so many words in malaysia and indonesian languages have tamil/sanskrit origins?
i was merely surprised to hear that indonesian presidents name is Mayawati Sukroputri….. so ethnic tamil, putri means daughter in tamil/sanskrit, aslo the guy who bombed the hotel in bali… his name is samudra, malaysians call themselves “BHUMIPUTRA” a sanskrit loan word meaning sons of the land and then they discriminate against the tamil hindus. also place names in malaysia like putrajaya, sri vijaya in indonesia……. these are sanskrit/hindu names in a pre-dominantly muslim countries…… also singapore
