Resorts Cook Islands

Has anyone traveled to the Cook islands?
We are planning on taking our winter holiday to the Cook Islands. Does anyone know what the cost of food is, if there are all inclusive resorts, if it’s easy to get around. All the travel Q&A you could think of. We also are wondering if there are any direct flights.
We have seen that going to a place like Costa Rica is a bit costly, and we are wondering if the Cook Islands might be the same?
I’ve been to both the Cook Islands and Costa Rica. Loved both of them. I much preferred the beaches in the Cook Islands. The resorts in Costa Rica are on the pacific ocean and are not the beautiful clear waters of the south pacific.
In the Cooks we stayed at the Rarotongan beach resort. It’s the biggest resort, and has the best choices for restaurants etc. They also have theme dinners with entertainment. The resort is on a marine reserve, and the snorkeling was fabulous. There’s all day sun, and the location is one of the best on the island.
When we were there only breakfast was included with the room. That was fine by us as we took our scooter out and tried different places to eat. The prices were the same as home.
Costa Rica has some great resorts now too. They will be all inclusive, so you won’t have to pay to eat or drink. What I loved about Costa Rica is the mount of extra day tours you can do. There’s alot to see, and I loved all the wildlife.
Either one is a great choice. You don’t say where you’re travelling from, so I can’t help with the flights. For us we flew from Vancouver non stop to Costa Rica. Going to the Cooks, we flew from Vanouver via Hawaii, and obviously going to the Cook Islands was alot more expensive.
