Where’s a good island destination for a young couple that isn’t touristy or corny?
We want to go somewhere unique this winter…someplace with beautiful beaches and a charming town/city, someplace that isn’t overrun by tourists but also isn’t insanely expensive. (tahiti is out of the question….)
We’re 23 and 28 but not into clubbing or partying, though we want to visit an island with a town that has a nice local nightlife.
We like great food, rich culture, little towns worth exploring, and cheap hotels! 
have you ever been to Cyprus?
larnaca and paphos have great beaches, limmasol have fantastic restaurants (as well as other cities) but nicosia has to be the city to visit… it’s got everything you asked for! (not sure about the hotels tho when i go over, i stay with relatives…)
